Disaster Relief in Joplin

"Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn." (Romans 12:15)
The first day I volunteered in Joplin, a team and I did debris cleanup at a house of a newly married couple. We later noticed "V" for victim written on brick of their house. I mourned and still do.

However, what a joy it has been to love on people through working with Convoy of Hope and people through our church and other organizations. All ministering is the hands of Jesus in an expression of love. Our God is near to the brokenhearted and needy. God did not say "My banner over you is love" because He was out to fool us. We are deceived and enticed away by our own sinful nature and by the enemy who is on the prowl to devour and confuse. Thank you Jesus for freeing us from a life of sin and death to a life of freedom- full of joy and peace. It is for freedom He set us free.

It's okay to mourn. I hope it provokes you to action.
